Do work that matters
You will be reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager with the autonomy to make decisions in the role. You will be required to bring your best self to execute security analysis of the network services across the Group and provide your recommendations. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Maintain network design documents, ensuring accuracy and representation of firewalls configuration and review and implementation of security policy;
  
• Identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with the network security design or solution proposals
• Provide technical consulting and advice to projects to ensure alignment to Cyber Security, Network Architecture, and operational stability of CBA's network assets
• Practice engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes
• Support transitioning target architecture from current to desired state

• Can author complex implementation plans and configuration of network security changes into CBA's network services and devices
• Have experience with technology in a large complex enterprise

Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

• Must have good experience with Algosec
• Experience in creating and reviewing network designs from security perspective
• Demonstrated experience as a Network Security Engineer, configuring and supporting networks (firewalls, switches, routers, wireless access points)
• Experience in implementation, administration and support of security controls in line with ISO 27001
• Experience in network virtualisation and optimisation
• Experience in configuring network security devices and policies
• VMware and OS level knowledge and experience - nice to have
• Experience in scripting and automating the configuration of network devices - nice to have
• Experience in SOC - highly desirable
