About This Role:

As an advisor, you will bring Gartner's research, best practices, and tools to life across a broad range of world-class clients. It's the job of an advisor to increase client engagement and ensure each client is applying Gartner's resources to their work. An advisor will ask insightful questions to diagnose the causes of client challenges and recommend the best course of action. The advisor might also suggest a different approach or talk the client through a best practice from a different industry that could work within their business context.

To succeed as an Advisor, you must be passionate about working in an environment where intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and action-oriented solutions are at the core of what you do. In this role, you'll be working with CIOs and technology executives on critical priorities such as:

  • Creating and executing a digital transformation strategy
  • Transforming IT and enterprise operating models
  • Cultivating a high-performing digital workforce and culture
  • Optimizing costs to drive value and innovation.

While a background in Digital Transformation or Technology Talent Management is beneficial, it is not a necessity. A successful candidate will understand the digital and technology landscape and how it effectively supports organizational outcomes.

An advisor will also partner with our research teams bringing client perspectives to help guide and frame research. You will support service and sales partners on client retention and growing the business.

What you'll do

  • Engage senior-level executives by building relationships, establishing credibility, conducting substantive content discussions, diagnosing needs, solving problems, and identifying relevant resources
  • Deliver must-have research through one-on-one interaction, workshops, small-group forums, and large-stage presentations
  • Shape the direction of ongoing research and content creation
  • Partner with sales and service delivery partners to increase account growth, retention, and engagement

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of experience in a related field or industry
  • Subject matter expertise in Digital Transformation, IT Strategy, and Digital Talent is preferred
  • Ideal candidate should be based or within commutable distance to Sydney/Melbourne
