The ideal candidate for the Solutions Architect role should possess the following experience and specialized skills:
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level security architectures.
- Demonstrable expertise in leveraging Enterprise Technical Architecture tools, policies, practices, and standards to inform operational decisions.
- Proven track record in aligning business processes with IT and business strategies, and evaluating the impact of new projects on existing systems.
- Experience in providing specialized technology advice and support to diverse technical and business roles within project and support teams, while ensuring compliance with standards.
- Skilled in estimating the value and effort needed for solution delivery, including reviewing and assessing various technology and quality components.
- Proficiency with application and solution modeling design tools, such as Use Cases, diagrams, and domain and process models, for effective communication of designs.
- Significant experience in designing, building, and managing the implementation of network and computer security measures.
- Expertise in ensuring the security of an enterprise's IT system architecture.
- Strong background in conducting security audits and risk assessments.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.G., ISO 27001, NIST, ACSC Essential Eight, WA Cyber Security Policy).
- Comprehensive knowledge of security technologies (e.G., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN, endpoint protection).
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF are highly desirable.
