Service Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a SRE you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust systems that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
System Monitoring and Incident Response:
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems and services.
- Respond promptly to incidents troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and customer impact.
Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components.
- Implement infrastructure as code principles to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across environments.
Requirements:
- Batchelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar Computing discipline,
- Proven Experience in a similar role, with a focus on reliability engineering, systems administration, and/or DevOps,
- Hands-on experience in CICD pipeline design and implementation for on-prem and cloud environments,
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Unix shell, or PowerShell,
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (preferably GCP) and experience with IaC tools (e.G Terraform),
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELF stack or similar,
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Essential technical skills/certs:
- Java, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Python, Shell, Groovy, Helm, Docker, Terraform,
- Application monitoring and test automation best practices and tools,
- Working with API and microservice technologies,
- Databases (PostgreSQL),
- Cloud technologies:
(GCP).
