Our client is seeking an Implementation Manager to lead the setup of a POS managed application service and service desk. This role is critical in establishing the framework for service delivery within the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the initial planning, development, and execution phases, ensuring the foundation is solid for future operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
Lead an Agile software implementation project, including creating detailed project plans, managing timelines, and ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery. - Function Design and Strategy Development:
Assess current capabilities, identify gaps, and design a comprehensive service delivery structure that aligns with organizational objectives and customer requirements. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations. - Resource Planning and Allocation:
Determine and secure necessary resources, including human, technological, and financial resources, to support the implementation phase. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to integrate necessary services and technologies. - Implementation and Transition:
Oversee the implementation of the service delivery framework, setting up operational processes and service management practices to prepare for a successful transition to operational teams post-implementation.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years in IT Service Delivery, with demonstrated experience managing large-scale implementation projects.
- Experience in POS operations.
- Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, and ITIL frameworks.
- Technical skills in Azure Cloud, Service Desk technologies such as SNOW, CICD, and deployment automation.
- Project management certifications (PMP or Agile methodologies) are highly advantageous.
