Senior Technical Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated talent to join the Corio's rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. Corio was developed under the Green Investment Group and remains a subsidiary of Macquarie Group (Australia's largest investment bank) so we have strong financial support to drive the business forward.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager and based in Melbourne for Offshore Wind project development.

Responsibilities

As part of the project leadership team, you will collaborate with the Project Director and others to achieve project objectives and business plans. Your key responsibilities include:

Engineering and Design Management:
Lead engineering and technical teams, develop strategies, and manage schedules, budgets, and scopes.

Team Leadership:
Recruit, manage, and coordinate engineering resources, ensuring collaboration with global engineering teams.

Contract Management:
Handle scoping, tendering, and contracting for necessary services, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Represent the project in regulatory discussions and liaise with governmental and external stakeholders.

Procurement:
Contribute to procurement strategy and tender processes, selecting suppliers and contractors.

Cost and Risk Management:
Develop engineering inputs for cost assumptions and manage budgets, ensuring risk mitigation plans are in place.

Safety Leadership:
Integrate safety requirements into the design and execution of the project.

You will report to Corio's Head of Engineering and support local leadership, promoting good practices and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

Your experience and skills include:

• Degree in engineering/science;
  15+ years in renewables/energy sectors, 5+ years in offshore wind leadership.

• Broad technical knowledge, design/engineering procedures, local construction regulations beneficial.
• Strong analytical skills, experience in dynamic environments, multi-disciplinary team coordination.
• High standards in safety, quality, and sustainability;
  innovative mindset.
• Proven in leading complex projects, managing stakeholders, and concurrent activities.
• Fluent in English, clear technical communication, business awareness, and value creation mindset.
• Trust-building, collaborative, proactive, and able to work in time-sensitive situations.
• Global experience, PMI/PMP/APM certification preferred, detail-oriented, willing to travel.
