We're looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Newcastle team. Y ou will be responsible forengaging in site inspections and will have client interfacing requirements as well as leading a small team and mentoring junior staff. What you'll do

The role responsibilities include:

  • Manage and supervise structural engineering project requirements across various multi-discipline brownfield projects, from conception to commissioning.
  • Engage directly with our clients to ensure a successful delivery of our projects and to continue to build our relationships.
  • Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team and consult with relevant resources as required.
  • Provide support to site-based construction and commissioning efforts.
  • Communicate effectively with the engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Client.
  • Innovate appropriate solutions supported by our subject matter experts.

What you'll have

  • Bachelor of Structural Engineering (recognised by IEAust).
  • Previous experience in metals, minerals &
    chemicals or hydrocarbons brownfield engineering design (including familiarity with relevant codes and standards).
  • Efficient in use of structural engineering specific software (eg. SpaceGass, Strand7 etc.) and relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Prior experience in both steelwork and concrete design.
  • Able to identify new business opportunities and lead a small team of junior engineers.
