As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and operability of our software systems. Your expertise will be key in maintaining a balance between high system performance and the ongoing development of scalable and resilient software solutions.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design, development, and operation of large-scale, distributed systems.
• Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies.
• Develop and refine automation and tooling to drive efficiency and reliability in our systems.
• Collaborate with development teams to design platforms with scalability, reliability, and security as core considerations.
• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve complex production issues.
• Oversee capacity planning and proactive performance optimisation, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward and getting ahead of customer needs.
• Establish and monitor service-levels and error budgets, ensuring a balanced approach to innovation and stability.

Your experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a similar role in a large-scale production environment.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following:
  Go, Python, C#, NodeJS or similar programming languages.
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and a deep understanding of network fundamentals.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.G. AWS, GCP, Openstack) and containerisation technologies (e.G. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in observability tooling (e.G. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.G. Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (e.G. Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with the following technologies/tools:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to document systems, processes, and troubleshooting steps clearly.
• A keen interest in new technologies and industry trends.
