The Opportunity
This role offers you the chance to be at the forefront of cyber defence, working on projects that safeguard essential services and infrastructure. You will be part of a highly skilled team where your contributions directly impact national security.
It is a 12-month contract with extensions within a federal government client which is well funded and growing.
The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer/Developer, you will join our client's Cyber Hygiene Improvement Programs (CHIPs) team, focusing on developing and implementing advanced software solutions to bolster cyber defences.
- Lead a team of developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions
- Apply best practice software engineering methodologies to design and develop secure, scalable applications
- Develop and maintain software using Python, ensuring it meets rigorous standards of quality and performance
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process
- Design and develop distributed systems that support robust and scalable applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and deliverables
The Ideal Person
You are an experienced software engineer with a strong background in developing secure, high-quality software solutions potentially in similar domains. You are motivated by the opportunity to keep contributing to national security and are passionate about cyber security.
Your expertise in Python, CI/CD tools, and distributed systems development is complemented by ability and enjoyment guiding and mentoring development teams.
Salary / Rate
$150/hr - $170/hr including superannuation
