Senior Security Engineer

About the role

We are on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated Senior Security Engineer to join our Technology team in Sydney. This role is a full-time permanent position. Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, you will be responsible for end-to-end security throughout PICA Group. organisation. You will carry out the assessment, advisory, configuration, and documentation of security related projects and initiatives to protect, mitigate and reduce security risks in accordance with PICA Group's risk appetite.

What you'll be doing

• Take the reins and work collaboratively with the IT team and wider business units to design, develop and review PICA Group's security roadmap to protect and mitigate against an evolving threat landscape.
• Develop and update security policies and procedures, including the Cyber Security Incident Response plan.
• Coordinate with PICA IT, Managed Service Providers, and partners to prevent and mitigate security incidents.
• Design and implement modern deployment initiatives such as microservices, web apps, APIs, containerisation, mobile apps and integration platforms.
• Actively review and take the lead on any security events or incidents in accordance with best practice incident management processes.

About you

• Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar all-rounder role with security experience, but if not, the right attitude and willingness to learn and grow will set you apart from the rest!
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly articulate complex security and technology concepts to a diverse audience.
• You have experience working in DevSecOps environments.
• You can collaborate with others knowing that relationships matter. You are a go getter, know how to problem solve and thrive in an environment where you can "

  and re-pivot quickly to align with business priorities.
