Great opportunity to join a Tier 2 contractor to deliver projects across the SMP sector. Having experience in construction and installation of fuel / water / gas from the head contractor side is ideal.
A market leading Tier 2 contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager to join their growing business in Sydney NSW.

They work across construction and remediation type projects are generally Industrial, Commercial or Defence in nature, up to the value of $40m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar across buildings and infrastructure will be an advantage.

As Senior Project Engineer / Project Manager you will need to have strong commercial acumen, contracts management, design management, OHS, programming / planning experience as well as running meetings with consultants and subcontractors to provide a high-quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

Ideal the candidate will have previous experience delivering SMP projects either fuel / water / gas type projects from $2m to $10m.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team
• Project delivery from inception through to completion
• Ensure construction programmes are followed &
  deliver on project quality to programme
• Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
• Manage project expenditure and cash flow
• Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
• Design management
• Manage subcontractors on site
• Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
• Produce progress reports
• Deliver and manage client expectations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or similar
• Minimum 3 - 7 years+ experience in Project Engineering on large scale construction projects
• Previous experience working in an SMP Engineering capacity, developing project/construction schedules and work packs, completing progress reporting and monitoring milestones
• Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams to deliver high quality projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Construction Safety Induction (white) card
