About the role:

The Project Engineer oversees and coordinates water infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet scope, budget, and timeline goals. They support project managers on major initiatives and lead minor projects.
Skills needed:

  • Thorough comprehension of water infrastructure systems, encompassing treatment plants, pipelines, and distribution networks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Pristine written communication skills are imperative, ensuring error-free development of process descriptions, operating instructions, and project management plans.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy including Excel, word, powerpoint etc.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.G., Microsoft Project)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is desirable but not required.

Job responsibilities:

  • - Lead and supervise all facets of assigned water infrastructure projects from inception to conclusion.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and external stakeholders to meet project requirements.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against set targets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and deploy mitigation strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. - Offer technical support and guidance to project team members and subcontractors.
  • Supervise fabrication and site installation activities.
  • Undertake various responsibilities in process commissioning, training, and handover.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Perform site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and generate regular financial reports.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and issues to stakeholders through meetings and reports.
