Job opportunity for highly experienced Senior Project Engineer - Electrical Specialist to work with government agency

Our client is a Government statutory corporation that is responsible for supplying the state's bulk water needs, operating the state's river systems and dams, and the bulk water supply system for Greater Sydney.

They are seeking to engage a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer - Electrical Specialist to work on critical projects within NSW valued up to $20M.
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Project Engineer - Electrical Specialist provides expert electrical engineering advice and technical guidance for Project Delivery and support to ensure optimal whole of life solutions are effectively identified and delivered. Projects will include sites around NSW and focus on programs of Electrical upgrades at remote sites on Weir gates, dam assets and industrial cranes.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and suitable relevant experience.
• Highly experienced Electrical based Engineer (20+ years).
• Knowledge of Water Industry assets and their functions.
• Thorough working knowledge and application of all Australian Electrical Standards and Industry Guidelines.
• Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of SCADA systems and low/mid/high voltage systems.
• Experience in commissioning and close out of asset builds.
• Experience working on multi-discipline Engineering works would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication and listening skills to build relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders.
• Current NSW driver's Licence.
• Willing to travel to regional areas within NSW with overnight stays.
