Education supergroup wants to make Canva the tool that every team - big and small - wants to use to collaborate and communicate in every day - from the classroom to the workplace.

Education Supergroup isthe Home &
Content Management Group. In 2024, we're on a mission to Inspire everyone to visually communicate, navigate and stay organized. This will help fulfil our mission to give everyone the confidence to make Canva the home for all their content &

Building a powerful Homepage &
navigation experience in Canva is critical to empowering users to easily find whatever they need to get their jobs done, and this role is a crucial element in ensuring that our entire homepage and navigation experience helps users of all kinds, from kindergarten to the workplace, achieve their goals seamlessly.

We are super early on in our journey and there is a whole lot more to do to achieve our vision of being used everyday by every team, school and workplace. To help us get there, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager for the Homepage Team to help propel us towards our vision!


About the Role/Specialty

The mission of Product Managers at Canva is to create the most accessible design tool for every person in the world. We believe that we can improve the world by empowering everyone to design and communicate visually. As a Product Manager at Canva you help set this vision, define what that future looks like, and build the products and features that get us there.

Product Managers collaborate with Canva's founders to set the strategic direction, scope, and success metrics for product initiatives. We work across teams of designers, software engineers, marketers and analysts to ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users. We are responsible for implementing and collaborating on product strategy, road mapping, and prioritization as our product grows.

It's our responsibility to see products through their entire lifecycle-from concept through to validation, build, post-launch analytics and iterations.

What you'll do (responsibilities)

  • Product Strategy - Own our cross-company Home &
    Navigation product roadmap.
  • Oversee the planning process and coordinate the efforts of a cross-functional team to maintain a happy healthy team that sets crazy big goals and achieves them.
  • Go To Market - Partner with our Sales &
    Marketing on go-to-market, ensuring all of our insights and opportunities are feeding back into our Product &
    Growth roadmaps, and ultimately doing whatever it takes to hit our growth goals.
  • Subject Matter Expertise - Become an internal subject matter expert on the navigation needs of all users, from Kindergarten to the workplace
  • Decision Making - Drive key decisions needed to be made toward our Teams &
    Education strategy.
  • Prepare and present vision, goal &
    decision decks and drive alignment with founders.
  • Collaborate with leadership peers across Canva to shape and drive the highest impact roadmap possible
  • Own company goals from inception to delivery and optimisation
  • Product Execution - Coordinate our team(s) to deliver on this roadmap, diving into product management initiatives where required.

What we're looking for

  • You have 4+ years experience in product management building software products, with experience taking a product from just an idea to a user facing launch. Extra points for past experience working in products related to navigation or homepage!
  • You can demonstrate that you're passionate about building products with delightful and simple UX, strive for excellence and sweat the details. You are passionate not only about UX but also great visual design and communication.
  • You're data informed, have experience with different types of experimentation and making decisions based on a range of qualitative and quantitative inputs. You love turning data points into actionable insights that drive impact.
  • You're highly collaborative, and are happiest when working closely with other Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and Product Marketers, Data Analysts, and sales. You value feedback and brainstorming ideas.
  • You enjoy having ownership and impact on functions critical to the product, and know how to rally people around you towards a shared vision.
  • You have experience working in a fast paced and high growth startup environment, where you've had regular involvement working with founders.
  • Effective Communication skills:
    You create clarity through your communication by making complex things simple. You can confidently present your ideas and tell a compelling story to influence and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve big wins.
  • Dream big,start small:
    You identify work that unlocks inordinate impact. You move ideas from the chaos of brainstorming and mock-ups to the clarity of execution and impact. You're great at balancing long-term vision and strategy with regularly delivering impactful outcomes that bring us closer to that vision
  • Technically competent:
    You can speak the language of engineering, and weigh up pros and cons with different technical approaches to solve complex problems.
