Job Description

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of operational plans that optimize the commercial (revenue, market share, sales) growth for the brands in the short and long terms. They will lead the development of the local brand strategies for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring cross functional alignment with medical, market access and external affairs along with regional and strategy where applicable. They will collaborate with corresponding brand and franchise lead/s to ensure our marketing strategies optimise all Biogen Brands.

  • Direct the activities of the core brand team for the achievement of short and long-term business objectives.
  • Drive and lead cross functional brand team meetings to ensure that the value of the brand is optimised throughout the PLC (Product Life Cycle).
  • Establish and coordinate the brand marketing objectives, and programs within the context of the overall corporate and franchise plan including establishing revenue and market share goals.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and drive brand strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives by engaging the Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Patient Services and Regulatory Affairs functions.
  • Create and deliver operational plans appropriate for the lifecycle of the brand to optimise value for Biogen by utilising the ICP (Integrated Customer Plan) planning process.
  • Leading the development and delivery of key promotional campaign materials and KME (Key Medical Expert) Management plan for the brand/s.
  • Lead field force engagement and proactively review opportunities with commercial leadership team
  • Leads the development, implementation and evaluation of the brand/s specific training and development needs of the ABMs' (Area Business Manager) and other customer facing staff.
  • Design and drive market research plans and activities to gain market/customer/patient insights.
  • Be seen as a leader across the affiliate by stepping up and leading projects or a leading role in teams/ project teams outside of brand and marketing
  • Leads brand with local team:
    Brand champion creates enthusiasm and focus for the brand both internally and externally;
    including cycle meetings, national scientific meetings and sales meetings.
  • Proactive collaboration with BIR and global teams. Local brand champion demonstrates and role models collaboration and leverages learnings from other markets and shares local best practice experiences.

To demonstrate success in this role you will be degree qualified and have a minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

  • Minimum 2 years product management experience
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to work across functions and personalities, strong collaboration and teamwork skills including internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and public speaking skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to complete work with limited direction or supervision
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
