About The Role

An outstanding opportunity has become available for a Senior Open Cut Examiner to join the Operations Team at Maule's Creek. The Senior OCE is responsible for leading the overall safety and production outcomes for one of the Mine Operations Load and Haul crews.

This is a site-based position working the lifestyle roster - 4/4/6 - 4/4/6.

What You'll Do

This includes developing and managing a crew of 100 personnel to safely execute the mine plan. Additionally, ensuring that area inspections are completed and statutory compliance maintained.

• Fulfil all aspects of the statutory function, i nspect work areas and maintain statutory compliance.
• Monitor production and coal quality targets, ensuring mining is performed in accordance with mining plans to meet coal and overburden targets.
• Ensure equipment utilisation aligns with budget, and is used/ maintained appropriately.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to increase mining and plant efficiency.
• Assist with short and long-term production planning.
• Supervise and direct the mining crews including provision of pre-shift information, shift planning, assigning employees, and monitoring start and finish times of crew.

What You'll Bring

• Possess a current Open Cut Examiners Certificate.
• MOC current practicing certificate.
• Supervisory experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in risk management.
• Broadexperience as a multi-skilled operator in the mining industry.
• Knowledge of WH&
  S legislation and statutory requirements in NSW
