As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for network administration, network security, network engineering, cybersecurity, and information security tasks. This is a hybrid role, based in Sydney, NSW, with flexibility for some remote work. Qualifications
- Network Administration, Network Security, and Network Engineering skills
- Cybersecurity and Information Security expertise
- Experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, routing, and switching
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems
- Understanding of industry best practices and compliance standards
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus
Responsibilities:
- The Network Security Engineer is responsible for all the capabilities of a normal network engineer however must also have experience in the implementation of network security policies
- Experience in dealing with CISO and security operations in government.
- Experience in designing, testing and implementation of routine installations of ICT hardware;
including computers, network components, data storage and multi-functional devices in virtualised and cloud computing environments in accordance with industry standards including compatibility, security and sustainability. - Work as part of a highly skilled team to c omplement their understanding of complex network environments including, legacy, digital in a high availability service environment and provide solutions, technical and business impact assessments for a portfolio of delivery projects.
