Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest - Ear, Nose and Throat)
Gold Coast Health is looking for a Senior Medical Officer to join the Ear, Nose and Throat service.
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner with Special Interest - Ear, Nose and Throat) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
About the role
Provide clinical specialist Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) support to the ENT service, making a substantial contribution to the development of a culture of medical education and safe, effective patient centered clinical practice.
Requirements for the role
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.
- Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
- MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FRACGP / FACRRM or equivalent acceptable to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and registrable as a General Practice specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.
- This position is required to work primarily throughout the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service but may also be required at the Primary Health Network and General Practices.
Salary information
- Permanent part time (16 hours per fortnight)
- Estimated total remuneration up to $72,530 p.A., comprising:
- Senior Medical Officer - Senior Status:
Base hourly rate $100.78 p.H - Senior Medical Officer:
Base hourly rate from $87.25 - $98.18 p.H
- Senior Medical Officer - Senior Status:
- Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
