What you'll do

Joining us as an Experienced or Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will work as part of a national multi-disciplinary team to deliver on project goals. Key duties will include:

  • Manage the design documentation and overall scope of multiple projects, of varying complexity and size.
  • Undertake liaison with project stakeholders including clients and vendors.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, that presents complex information and results effectively, to technical and non-technical clients.
  • Technical and commercial acumen with a focus on successful outcomes for our projects and our clients.
  • High levels of personal integrity, and a desire for continued professional development and improvement as an engineering professional.
  • Manage the identification and resolution of project safety risks through contemporary Safety in Design methods, ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Undertake all responsibilities in a safe manner.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualifications
  • CPEng and/or RPEQ preferred or working towards obtainment.
  • Experience working within an engineering consultancy, or in a design role for a contractor or asset owner. Experience in the Water industry is essential.
  • Technical skills across a broad range of areas within water and/or wastewater conveyance and treatment.
  • Experience in the hydraulic design of water utilities
  • Experience in Equipment Selection and specification
  • Experience with stress analysis design using software or analytical techniques
  • Experience in CHAIR and HAZOP and related safety in design practices and processes.
  • Skills to identify risk and mitigation measures in medium to large profile projects.
  • Ability to prepare and review technical reports on medium to large projects
  • Consult with our clients in an effective and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members and peers.
