Energy

Our Energy team helps clients maintain secure and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to help our cities transition to a more sustainable world. Our team has expertise in solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution and systems and automation.

The Opportunity:

Specialise in Power Generation to support a strong demand for our services by providing project and technical leadership to a range of power generation technologies such as;

Thermal generation (existing coal, gas, waste to energy, geothermal)

Hydropower including Pumped Hydro

New Energy (such as hydrogen) &
Energy storage (compressed air, thermal storage)

Renewables

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

Supporting generation projects currently under development

Contribute to the development of new generation projects

Technical advisory for refurbishment / operation / asset management / maintenance of generation plants

Aid in growing the Company's capability to deliver projects in innovative generation technologies, including new energy and renewables

Reviewing and assessing generation plants and technologies

Perform risk assessment as applicable to project profile.

Monitoring and managing the scope of multi-discipline projects and applying business systems.

Prepare and deliver reports and proposals with clients and management.

Inspection, supervision and reporting site-based activities such as construction and commissioning.

Computer modelling, independent calculation, desk top review.

Travel to local and international locations for inspection or site related activities.

Incorporate sustainability elements in project delivery, design, and outcomes

Enable health, safety, and environment within every facet of the work environment

About you:

  • Degree level qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Actively working towards chartered status with the Institute of Engineers Australia and/or state-based registration schemes such as RPEQ, RPEV etc.
  • Extensive experience in power generation
  • Ability to undertake technical tasks across a broad range of projects
  • Ability to lead and deliver projects, while liaising with internal teams and clients.
  • Knowledge of power generation equipment design, operation, and manufacture.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to this field.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Balances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and budget.
  • Is flexible to meet project outcomes.
  • Open to and actions feedback.
  • Manages self under pressure.
