In this role, you'll:

Work on the iconic Sydney Metro Project in a team who deliver technology solutions across the whole of Sydney Metro including (CSW) City &
Southwest, (MW) Metro West and (WSA) Western Sydney Airport.
Start on a 12-month temporary opportunity with the potential to extend;
this is a TSSM Banding ($188k to $201k inclusive of Super).
Take charge at the front end for all new and existing project requests, to understand the requirements of the business to ensure we understand problem areas and desired outcomes.
Lead a team of business analysts including 6 to 12 direct reports, to review and analyse the organisational business intentions, services and processes to enable identification of business improvement opportunities
Work collaboratively across IT teams to capture, retain, maintain knowledge about business process, systems &
stakeholders to enable the acceleration of future deliveries for our clients
Lead the team to drive the development of business cases for identified project opportunities, ensuring they support the organisational strategy and document measurable and quantifiable benefits.
Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Proactively leading and supporting all SMIT project delivery requirements, aid in shaping / designing new projects with documented and approved requirements and working closely with SM Technology Project Delivery, IT Delivery Director including broader IT teams and business alike

- Being the primary point of contact for all project delivery requirements in order to assist and ensure project team is on the right track to implementing, testing and deploying recommended / approved solutions in time and within agreed quality standard

- Proactively leading and managing a team of Business Analysts and other relevant skills / resources in shaping up new initiatives

- Developing mature business analysis practice ensuring robust systems, processes and people in place to deliver planned and committed initiatives.

- Reviewing, interpreting and responding to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability

- Proactively engaging relevant stakeholders, service providers, partners to understand business problems and align technology solutions and IT services

- Assist PMO in shaping up robust project, program and portfolio governance, assurance and reporting functions are established to achieve desired outcomes.

Appropriate Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or substantial professional experience.
Ability to Identify system, application and project interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
Solid analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.
Structured business analysis experience in deploying ICT applications and business solutions.
Multi-vendor engagement environment requiring proactive and pragmatic approach in critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Hands-on fast paced program requiring engaging and influencing attitude.
