What's the role all about

Following a internal review, we have reviewed how we offer the best possible service to our organisation and have introduced two Senior HR Business Partner roles to work in conjunction with two HR Business Partners to provide support to the workforce.

This role works at an advanced level to partner with and influence Senior Stakeholders to develop and implement fit-for-purpose HR and Workplace relations solutions.

This role will provide authoritative and strategic advice on a range of highly complex and advanced people management, workforce planning and workplace relations matters to our Executives, Senior Leaders, and Managers.

You will bring to the role your advanced strategic and solutions focused mindset with proven experience as a HR Business Partner.

We have a passionate and driven team who all work together to deliver outcomes that positively benefit our community.

Just some of what you might do will look like

  • Lead the end-to-end Case Management of Complex and sensitive investigations.
  • Provide coaching, feedback and Guidance to Senior Managers and People Leaders
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead organisational change end to end to support organisational priorities.

Who we are looking for

  • You will have demonstratable experience within Workplace Relations and HR at a senior level with advanced experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful end to end case management and resolution of complex and sensitive people management matters including preparation of material for external forums and tribunals and representing the City of Port Phillip at said tribunals
  • Outstanding communication skills and proven ability to lead, navigate and negotiate challenging situations.
