Senior Geochemist (Perth)

About the Company

Responsibilities:

1. Geochemical Assessments:
   

   • Conduct comprehensive geochemical assessments to evaluate environmental impacts of mining, exploration, and industrial activities.
   • Develop and execute sampling plans for soil, water, sediment, and rock samples, overseeing laboratory analysis.
   • Analyze data and interpret findings to assess environmental risks and formulate effective mitigation strategies.

2. Technical Leadership:
   

   • Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior staff, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and data validation protocols.
   • Review analytical data, validate results, and offer technical oversight for laboratory testing processes.

3. Client Engagement:
   

   • Collaborate closely with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored geochemical solutions.
   • Prepare clear and concise technical reports, presentations, and proposals for clients, regulators, and stakeholders.

4. Regulatory Compliance:
   

   • Stay abreast of environmental regulations and industry standards pertaining to geochemistry and environmental management.
   • Ensure project activities comply with regulatory requirements and uphold environmental best practices.

5. Project Management:
   

   • Lead geochemistry projects from initiation to completion, managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
   • Coordinate field sampling activities, liaise with subcontractors and laboratories, and oversee project logistics to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's in Geochemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in geochemical assessments and environmental consulting.
• Strong analytical skills and expertise in interpreting geochemical data.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
