Senior Facade Engineer

A leading specialist in the Buildings space, renown for its property and structural engineering services focusing on remediation, facade refurbishment, structural repairs and rehabilitation. The individual will work closely with a team of experienced building consultants, engineers, and surveyors to design and oversee remedial building projects and produce detailed reports. The ideal person will have a minimum of 5-10 years proven experience in the facades or remedial building sector and project management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments and inspections of building facades to identify defects, deterioration, and potential safety hazards.
• Develop and propose comprehensive remedial strategies and solutions tailored to the specific needs of each project.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings for remedial works.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and oversee the execution of remedial works, ensuring compliance with safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in facade materials, technologies, and repair methods.
• Conduct root cause analysis of facade failures and develop preventative maintenance plans.
• Ensure project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in facade engineering, focused on remedial works.
• In-depth knowledge of facade systems, materials, and construction methods.
• Proven experience in conducting facade assessments, forensic investigations, and designing remedial solutions.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
