Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimator, Electrical to join our dynamic team. This role will involve providing quantity take-off and estimating support for various projects, developing and maintaining standard estimating processes, and ensuring accurate and efficient proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned projects.
• Provide area-specific forecasts and report project status.
• Manage multiple bids and act as a liaison between the estimating team and VP.
• Revise estimates and implement necessary changes.
• Maintain client relations as the lead contact for proposals.
• Evaluate customer documents for tender/bid/quotation purposes.
• Coordinate bid inputs from organizational departments and subcontractors.
• Participate in pre- and post-bid meetings as required.
• Log proposals and tenders into the estimating database for tracking and historical purposes.
• Review and evaluate the performance of estimators and senior estimators.
• Market company services to existing and potential clients.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to coordinate resources effectively.
• Proactive approach with a focus on initiative and innovation in work processes.
• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, fostering efficient working relationships.
• Proficiency in Estimating Software (Candy), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Solid understanding of electrical requirements in industrial, energy, and transport projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating projects involving electrical substations, LV, MV, and HV systems.

While initially based at our primary location, the role may involve assignments to different locations across Australia based on project needs, flexibility for traveling is key.
