Senior Engineer Dev Test

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our team at ING during an exciting growth phase. You'll support to deliver the quality and performance of large scale, custom hardware multi-platform software products that includes web, API, and mobile application interfaces.

You'll be working closely with Software Developers that includes leveraging shift-left methods to understand a complex domain and product. Also focus on contributing to the development of automated Functional Integration tests and end-to-end tests through open-source test frameworks for overall system testing within an Agile environment. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

What you'll do

• Write and maintain automated test cases and ensure continuous improvement of the test automation practice.
• Ensure the delivery of timely, quality solutions by leading the testing effort across projects, as required, through effective planning, scheduling, oversight, and execution.
• Contribute to the ongoing quality of both delivery and testing capability.
• Take a lead role in the growth of the test automation practice and promoting a quality culture.
• Actively contribute to initiatives which support the growth and efficiency of the testing discipline.

What we're looking for

• Must have an understanding and ability to develop code in Java.
• Strong experience in API testing from SOAP, RESTful is required.
• Hands-on experience with XML, databases, SQL, Linux, Windows, and /or mobile devices.
• Experience with Test processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in Java with frameworks like JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter and Appium is preferred.
• Experience leading ambiguous situations, dealing with technical issues, and coming up with effective solutions to ensure customer project deliverables.
