About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in our Perth Head Office on a Full-Time basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will have a proven record in estimating, negotiating and securing new electrical and instrumentation projects in predominantly the resources, mining, oil and gas or heavy industrial sectors.
In addition some of your key tasks will include;

  • Compile/ review estimates and quotes as directed by the Estimating Manager.
  • Preparation of tender submission documents and ensure that work method statements and construction schedules are consistent with the proposal, and with the client's criteria.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of proposal strategies and ensure this is included in the submitted bid.
  • Liaise closely with operational teams and clients to ensure projects are properly scoped and prepared.
  • Provide timely reports regarding estimating and bid risks that need to be mitigated.
  • Participate in the estimate handover including estimate plans, specifications, and schedule with the Project Manager (PM) after award of project.

About You
To be successful in this position you will have at least 5 years' experience as a Senior Estimator on with either an electrical trade qualification or electrical engineering qualification. Your previous experience working with an electrical contractor in the resources industry will be highly regarded as will your ability to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following

  • High level attention to detail
  • Strong commercial understanding of project costing, scheduling and delivery
  • Well-developed communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills
  • The ability to work well in a team environment
  • High level computer literacy with a focus on MS Excel
  • Have significant experience using electrical estimating software packages such as WinEst
