Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we also have a beautiful office in Melbourne if that's where you're based. You have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

• Work closely with our Strategy teams to understand both our users and our creators at a deep level - we want you to be creative and insightful!
• Suggest and run interesting experiments that will move our metrics that matter
• Build and maintain dashboards for our product teams, so they can be empowered to understand performance and make timely decisions
• Own projects, data models, dashboards, and other artefacts and keep them up-to-date and high quality
• Use our giant databases to answer the sort of questions that sound really simple but turn out to be challenging (and fun!)
• Help us extend data literacy and curiosity throughout the whole company

You're probably a match if

• You have strong competency with SQL. Additionally, experience with database technologies, such as Snowflake, dbt, and/or jinja would be a big plus
• You are experienced with data wrangling, analysing, and presentation using SQL, Python, or R
• You can demonstrate skills across optimising product funnels, running experiments, and building dashboards that effectively communicate results and outcomes
• You may have a grounding in mathematics/statistics and a bachelor's degree in a STEM area (not mandatory, but certainly helpful).
• You have played with very large data sets or have an eye for efficiency and query performance
• You are a strong communicator and can explain complex topics simply to all kinds of stakeholders

Content has far reaching business impact and is a key driver of user acquisition, retention and revenue.

The content strategy team's mission is to build the most valuable and engaging content library in the world. We work collaboratively across the Global Content &
Discovery Supergroup and other key partners, to identify and implement opportunities to drive user engagement through content.
