The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and motivatedSenior Consultantto join our Planning team based Perth, WA.

Using your technical expertise and proven skills, you will actively support our clients by demonstrating a sound understanding of statutory and strategic urban planning to provide relevant advice and insights.

You will be:

  • Providing a high range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management;
  • Developing client relationships by building trust, providing quality advice and managing expectations;
  • Writing submissions, proposals and advice that accurately reflects the client's needs;
  • Managing small to medium size projects, including scoping and costing of projects, tracking job costs and coordinating consultants and sub-consultants, when necessary;
  • Identifying andraising issues which may impact fee estimates and/or timelines;
  • Coaching and developing individuals with the team, as appropriate;
  • Contributing tothe development and implementation of quality assurance and the Planning team's Business Plan;

About You:

  • Minimum 2-3 yearsof relevant experience in Urban Planning
  • Tertiary qualifications inUrban and Regional Town Planningor related discipline
  • Some experience in statutory or strategic planning desirable, ideally gained in a consultancy or local government environment.
  • Able to prioritise the competing demands of multiple projects within the agreed timeframe.
  • Strong capability in written and verbal communications and engagement with a variety of stakeholders.
  • An appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
