The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Consultant or an Associate Director to join our national Specialist Valuations &
Advisory team as part of Urbis's broader Economics &
Property business unit.This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

In this role you will be driving the ongoing profitable business growth and development of our Sydney/Melbourne Economics &
Property offering, through a strong focus on delivering client work, securing other work opportunities, and the achievement of established billing targets.There is a requirement to demonstrate an understanding of theproperty sector and an ability to carry out a range of services for new and existing clients. With your technical background, you will be expected to bring considerable credibility and professionalism to the role, and to build and maintain new and existing relationships with large corporate clients.

As a member of the Sydney's/Melbourne's Economics &
Property management team, you will also play a role in supporting staff growth and development, through on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and strong people management and leadership skills.

You will be:

  • Contributing to the development and improvement in systems, processes and advice to advance the output and efficiency of our work;
  • Supporting business development initiatives of the Business Unit through contribution to submissions and presentations;
  • Developing industry, clients and other contacts, with the support of a Director or Associate Director;
  • Developing an internal presence within Urbis through establishing connections with other Business Units;
  • Undertaking research and analysis to support provision of quality reporting, utilising both primary and secondary data sources;
  • Taking responsibility for training and motivating Consultants and Research Analysts in the delivery of reports;
  • Responsible forthe day-to-day management, delivery of projects and client satisfaction relating to projects under management;
  • Providing high-quality verbal and written advice to the team and clients;
  • Contributing toscoping of assignments, and development of methodologies to deliver reports;
  • Responsible foreffective and timely commercial management of projects including client, project and contract registration, invoicing, monitoring and delivering projects to agreed budgets and timelines;

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Valuations, Property Economics, Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Town / Urban or Regional Planning, Business/Finance or related discipline
  • Economics, Taxation or Valuation policy experience highly preferred
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Excel skills include an ability to use high level analytical techniques such as Power Pivot Tables &
    Charts, DAX or Index/Match functions
