As part of our Strategy &
Communications group, the Senior Communications Advisor will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing impactful communication campaigns. This role requires a creative mind, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the Australian defence landscape.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Act as the Communications Lead to Business Units within Saab Australia.
  • Partner with Business Units to efficiently and independently lead the proactive development and implementation of comprehensive and integrated communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign alignment with overall communications and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including senior executives to gather information and insights for campaign development.
  • Provide strategic communications support to Business Units for strategic pursuits, including the reviewing of key messaging, developing and implementing communication plans and developing stakeholder engagement plans.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Demonstrated experience in communications and marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and execution of integrated and effective communications and marketing strategies which supported realisation of business outcomes.
  • Highly developed influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills with ability to achieve effective outcomes in a multi-disciplined, multi-party environment.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.


A Defence security clearance may be required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level or have the ability to gain one.
