The Senior Clinician - Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will aim to provide front line mental health services to the Lithgow Community with advanced scope of practice to support integrated care coordination. The successful incumbent will be providing clinical leadership within the Lithgow Community Mental Health Team. This includes the provision of expert clinical skills and knowledge to members of the multidisciplinary team providing care coordination support to consumers of the service.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Registered Nurse (Division 1) with AHPRA with post-registration qualifications in Mental Health and at least 3 years' experience working in Mental Health or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team across services and settings including skills and experience in clinical support planning and integrated care coordination.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage a complex caseload with competing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and effective time management skills
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
