We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team. This role involves a high level of responsibility in analysing business systems and IT needs, ensuring that our solutions are consistent across the business to support operational and organisational capability.

Your contribution
As Senior Business Analyst, you will:

  • partner with stakeholders across QLeave business units to capture, analyse, document and review business processes and data requirements for new system development, enhancement to current systems and business process improvement
  • perform high-level business analysis by developing an understanding of the business needs to ensure technical deliverables meet user acceptance criteria, useability and fit for purpose solutions.
  • undertake investigative work to determine and document business processes, ICT requirements and recommend continuous improvements to business processes and information systems.
  • contribute to the review of system design and other development deliverables against requirements and participate in applicable quality assurance activities.
  • develop functional requirements that will cover system functionality, usability, access and security, performance and availability, interfaces, and data conversion requirements for all business functions.
  • develop business processes utilising appropriate modelling techniques to design end to end service mappings to ensure procedures are documented following processes and methodologies that align with industry best practice and departmental standards.
  • contribute to the specification and design of system reports and reporting processes applicable to the client or stakeholder requirements utilising standard departmental reporting tools.
  • author and update internal and external documentation, including creation of BPMN models, process diagrams and wireframes, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
  • develop functional requirements;
    describe what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirements and associated graphic representations of complex business processes
  • proactively identify, understand, discuss, and act on current and future risks
  • any other tasks as directed from time to time as directed by your supervisor

This position reports to the Team Leader, Digital Solutions and assists with supervisory responsibilities of the Business Systems team.

What we are looking for
For this role, we will consider how well you:

  • provide advice to senior management in relation to solutions and data to complex business problems that require the application of digital technologies
  • demonstrate strong experience in delivering business and technical analysis services
  • demonstrate strong experience in conducting in-depth analysis of business needs and making recommendations and plans for process and system solutions that align with strategic objectives
  • utilise advanced stakeholder engagement skills and demonstrate experience in analysing business problems, process mapping, conducting gap analysis and identifying root cause
  • demonstrate skills in requirements elicitation, facilitation of workshops and presentation skills with a multi-vendor/hybrid ICT environment
  • demonstrate high level skills in stakeholder management, developing trusted and enduring relationships with business clients, including superior consultation, facilitation, and collaboration.
  • communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, through all levels within an organisation (business and technical).
  • apply knowledge and experience with business analysis and business intelligence tools to ensure data-driven improvements and demonstrate knowledge of business process modelling notations to documenting processes.

While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, the following knowledge, skills, and practical experience would be beneficial or qualifications in the following would be favourably regarded:

  • BPM Certification (AIIM BPM Certificate, Certification from BPMInstitute.Org,
  • ABPMP's Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP).
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics or other technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem
