Senior Brand Manager, Premium and Sparkling

The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for delivering the regional strategic agenda for a defined portfolio of brands.

The incumbent will partner with the Heads of Marketing and Marketing Director to drive the strategic agenda of the team and is accountable for the development of activity that drives brand growth in the market.


The incumbent will also play a leadership role within the broader marketing team to ensure the delivery of short, medium- and long-term brand equity, market share and profitability goals. These goals will be achieved through the production of brand and business plans.


With skills in stakeholder management, you will play a key role in developing high performing, strong and cohesive cross-functional teams that will be responsible for delivering on the brand strategic imperatives and growth targets across the ANZ region.

Your Key Accountabilities

The SBM will be one of the brand guardians for key brands in the portfolio and will support the marketing team and wider business:

  • Develop brand identity, positioning, architecture and long term strategy for a given brand / brands
  • Develop strong regional activation plans, annual brand plans and integrated activity plans
  • Work with subject matter experts across Connections, Content and Creative, Shopper and Category to deliver best-in-class activity across all relevant consumer and customer touchpoints
  • Create and implement portfolio strategies and channel development guidelines. Specifically, those that relate to setting distribution targets by tier/varietal/price point/channel
  • Drive and manage performance against commercial targets
  • Communicate brand standards, strategy and marketing programs to key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Partner with revenue management function to monitor and recommend pricing strategy
  • Analyse financial data, understand our key consumer insights and regional challenges and help build plans that drive positive behaviour change with our consumers
  • Own the A&
    P budgets and input intoregional long-term forecasting
  • Lead the monthly brand performance and health reviews, as well as the measurement and evaluation of all key brand activity, via tracking and reporting
  • Lead the commercialisation (building sell in, launch and GTM activation plans) of NPDs including supporting consumer and category rationale and sell in tools
  • Monitor market trends, and undertake competitor activity reviews
  • Partner with the customer channel teams to understand their customer needs and opportunities to build strong customer and consumer centric plans
  • Partner with the Category team to deliver relevant plans that will deliver category growth for Accolade Wines and our customers

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field desired
  • Minimum 6-8 years' experience in a consumer marketing environment (preferably FMCG / liquor), 4 of which were in a Brand Management role (or closely related)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the management of diverse portfolios across complex retail environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting brand P&
    L management
  • Demonstrated experience supporting NPD projects from conception through to launch / activation
  • Understanding, knowledge and practical experience in consumer marketing
  • Wine or liquor experience will be highly regarded

Physical and Other Requirements

This position is based in our Sydney office with hybrid working (3 days from office, 2 from home). Some business travel and occasional out of hours calls will be required.
