Simon, a progressive leader in the legal industry with nearly 50 years' experience, is growing across key areas, including litigation, commercial, property and family law.

Due to this growth, we are looking to fill two senior associate positions in our general commercial and property teams, to work across a range of interesting and challenging matters.

You will enjoy the autonomy and responsibility of managing and leading a diverse caseload, with the focus, support and guidance, as well as administrative assistance required.

General Requirements

- Working closely with development clients and property owners to provided strategic advice as to the sale, use and development of their land;

- General taxation and stamp duty knowledge;
and

- Conducting effective legal research including reviewing applicable case law and legislative changes.

Experience

This is a permanent opportunity to work on some of the complex real-estate/property matters including.

- Preparing, reviewing, negotiating and settling agreements for real property acquisitions and disposition including terms contracts;

- Taxation including GAIC, CGT, Windfall Gains Tax, Land Tax, and Stamp Duty advice;

- Commercial and Retail leasing;

- Caveat, adversepossession and fencing disputes;

- Construction contracts both front end and back end;

- Compulsory LandAcquisition advice;
and

AboutYou

- 5yrs+ relevant experience in property law;

- Strong expertise in real estate law, including corporate lease transactions, construction projects and property management;

- Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects in a fast-paced environment;

- Practical and client focused problem solving and research skills;

- Ability to relate to people at all levels and effectively work in a team;

- Excellent organisation, written and oral communication skills;
and
