Our client is a leading Australian based IT organization. Working closely with the Government &
Financial Services sector as well as Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing &
Media.
You will be working in a growing Cyber Security team leading the technical deployments, and supporting SIEM tools within the SOC.
The Role
As the Cyber Security Engineer you will be working on the day to day engineering operations within the CSOC whilst working with large datasets to optimise detection rules, write new rules and ensure they align with the business objectives.
The successful candidate is expected to have an intimate understanding of IT Security and have a good grasp on the technology that underpins a modern SOC and ICT environment.
You will be working closely with other internal teams and alongside your SOC colleagues to help provide an effective line of defence against existing and evolving threats.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM integrations inc. threat intelligence feeds, authentication systems, and response systems.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to implement and support Cyber Managed Service Solutions.
- Implementation and deployment of my clients SIEM or log collection and correlation platforms.
Key Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of Linux, Windows and Unix systems
- You will be working on the backend of a range SIEM products
- Programming skills (Python/Ruby) and the ability to leverage those to solve complex problems and/or automate mundane tasks.
- CISSP/OSCP/GSEC/GCED/GMON/GCIA or equivalent certifications are beneficial
