Sap Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Project Manager to lead a significant SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Project. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in complex environments and has a proven track record of successfully implementing cloud conversions in large organisations.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the project team, responsible for the conversion of SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA hosted on private cloud.

What you'll do:

As a Project Manager for this SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Project, you will be at the forefront of leading this significant transformation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading multiple work packages, adapting to customer needs, planning and coordinating project activities, incorporating advanced design thinking practices, ensuring appropriate governance is in place, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing risks and issues, overseeing project schedules, providing direction for your team, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

• Lead and deliver multiple work packages within the Project in accordance with Agile Principles
• Adapt to customer needs to ensure that the deliverables are of the highest quality given fixed time and budget constraints
• Plan and coordinate the Project activities and resources to deliver the required outcome within the project budget and timeframes
• Incorporate advanced design thinking practises to meet future outcomes
• Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place throughout
• Oversee and collaborate with a cross functional team from the preferred vendor, organisation change management team and internal resources with differing accountabilities
• Provide effective management of risks, issues, conflicts, change requests and priorities
• Oversee the development and maintenance of the project schedules
• Provide direction and support for the project team
• Effectively communicate the progress of the project to all stakeholders

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Project Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in implementing SAP S/4HANA cloud conversions in complex, large organisations. You will have demonstrated your ability to undertake strategic design, execute successful transformational projects, and coordinate benefit realisation in a similar project within a large government enterprise. Your strong communication skills will be key in managing a broad range of stakeholders and delivering real business change across procurement and payment functions within a large complex environment. Your ability to deliver outcomes in a collaborative and flexible manner will set you apart.

• Proven record of successfully implementing SAP S/4HANA cloud conversions in complex, large organisations
• Demonstrated ability to undertake strategic design, execution/delivery of successful transformational projects, and coordination of benefit realisation in a large government enterprise for a similar type of project
• Experience in leading and managing a project team using a PRINCE2 methodology with an Agile delivery approach
• Strong communication skills with experience in managing a broad range of stakeholders
• Experience in delivering real business change across procurement and payment functions within a large complex environment
• Ability to deliver outcomes in a collaborative and flexible manner
