The population offers a good variety of patients but with very little deprivation - it's a very pleasant village setting that will appeal to those who prefer not to work in the more gritty, inner-city areas.
Efficiency and sustainability are the key pillars of the practice's approach and this has led to excellent retention of staff and very good patient engagement and reviews.

Salary - c86,000-90,000 FTE plus indemnity and BMA equivalent contract.

Location - South Gloucestershire, Thornbury area

The surgery -

• GP Training Practice also hosting Medical Students
• Geared towards reducing GP workload
• Only 4 appointments per hour giving you flexibility around appointment length
• Outstanding workflow team - all that the GPs see is what they need to action
• No traditional Duty Doctor system - on-call instead ensures there is a point of contact for colleagues and clinicians
• Stress-free, short commute from Bristol on picturesque roads

Your role -

• 4 sessions
• Just 25 appointments per day - 15-minutes available for all
• Flexibility around start and finish times and very supportive and appreciative of family commitments
• Mostly non-patient facing on-call day - much easier than traditional model with the endless list
• Low visiting - perhaps 1 a week or 1 a fortnight
