About therole:

As a keymember of the P&
C executive team, the Director, WorkforceStrategy is responsible for the strategic planning function withinP&
C to use research to inform workforce design that enables thedepartment's ambition, as well as support the vision forpublic sector employment more broadly.

TheDirector will operate as a strategic coordinator in theidentification of departmental and divisional priorities and willprovide recommendations using data and insights, strategicforecasting and modernisation of technology and systemsinfrastructure.

TheDirector will lead a team of staff to ensure the department iswell-prepared to respond to current, emerging and future workforcerequirements with a strong focus on efficiency and lean capability.Through this, the Workforce Strategy function will influencecontemporary practice, excellence in operational execution, andbetter leverage the resource capacity and capability across thedivision.

Essentialqualifications and competencies:

• Anappropriate tertiary qualification with post-graduatequalifications in an appropriate discipline being desirable, orrelevant experience.
• Knowledge andunderstanding of contemporary people practices within theworkforce context.
• Experience leading ina large and complex organisation at an executive level,ensuring the translation of priorities into executeddeliverables.

SpecialConditions:

Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC(Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care)Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online(Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated everythree years.
