About the role:

As the Research and Engagement Manager you will be responsible for leading the use of customer and stakeholder research, including community engagement to draw insights for strategic decision making across Council. You will lead your team to drive best practice research and engagement methodologies and deliver research projects that engage current and future customers and stakeholders, promote growth, and drive community engagement.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set the research and engagement program for Council working with multiple stakeholders across Council to provide advice, insights, and strategic direction on key projects as well as collaboration and relationship building.
  • Implement and manage Council's community engagement strategy and framework in line with state and federal government requirements for engagement.
  • Oversee the delivery of research projects, including focus groups, and other research and consultation forums as required.
  • Oversee the management and effectiveness of Council's online research panel and online engagement portal to deliver research and engagement projects.
  • Ensure key findings, insights and recommendations from research and engagement projects are identified and communicated to key stakeholders, including the community where appropriate.

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in market research or relevant discipline.
  • 7+ years' experience in leading research and or engagement function (government or services environment preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing stakeholder strategies and plans using a wide variety of methods and communications channels, both traditional and emerging.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating research and engagement outcomes into actionable insights.
  • Relevant experience leading community engagement, with a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives.
  • Exceptional communication, project management and problem-solving skills.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $144,375 to $160,043plus 11% superannuation.
