Curis Recruitment is proud to partner with a fantastic Aboriginal Health Service in the Northern Territory to help them find a Remote Area Nurse to join their team. You will work alongside GPs, other RNs, Midwives, and trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioners to deliver high-quality primary health care services both in the clinic and the community.
Remuneration
Base rate:
$76 per hour + 11% superannuation
Overtime rates:
$114 - $152 per hour
On-call rates:
$101.48 - 120.77 per hour

Working for an Aboriginal community-controlled health service located 350 km northeast of Alice Springs

Regular travel by 4WD over unmade roads and participation in an after-hours on-call emergency roster are essential aspects of the position.
Key Responsibilities
Perform clinical duties within competency levels, including triage, immunisations, wound management, chronic disease management, and assisting GPs. Adhere to CARPA and Women’s Business Manuals for clinical care.
Conduct preventive/screening procedures, patient education, and health promotion activities. Coordinate patient recall and outreach programs.
Participate in quality activities, maintain Cold Chain, and ensure regular quality checks on equipment.
Qualifications &
Certifications Required
Current registration with AHPRA, with no restrictions
National Crime Check within the past 12 months
Current unrestricted NT driver’s license and Ochre Card (Working with Children Clearance).
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
Current ALS certification
Demonstrated understanding of primary health care principles and ability to deliver services effectively
Knowledge of Aboriginal community health issues and cultural awareness
Infection control knowledge
Adaptive communication skills and effective team work capabilities
4WD experience or willingness to undertake training.
Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and Communicare
