About the Opportunity

The Release Manager is responsible for delivering business capability into production and maintaining the production environment. This person will have overarching visibility of how our technology project teams are progressing in the delivery lifecycle. It is vital to have a strong understanding of project management and implementation stages, such as initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure of deployments.

You'll also

  • Maintain and update the Release Calendar, Release Management tools and documentation
  • Collaborate with project teams to gauge the scope &
    requirements of each release to ensure they are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Define and implement Release Management policies, procedures, and standards that align with the ITIL framework
  • Own the Release Management lifecycle which encompasses release planning, coordination, testing, deployment, communication, and post-release support
  • Track the progress of each release and address any risks that may impact the success of the release
  • Develop the Release Management process and implement feedback based on performance

What you'll deliver with us

Reporting directly into Manager of the Service Management function, you will oversee production deployments, encompassing issue and risk management, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with change management and program teams to ensure timely releases. You are responsible for developing position relationships with key strategic suppliers and bringing in the view of external providers to the team.

About you

A working background in service, change or release management is vital for this position. You will have excellent stakeholder relationship skills and can communicate clearly when supporting deployment teams to deliver technical solutions to customers.

You'll also need

  • Strong Release Management experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary program teams across business units
  • Proven ability to own the Release Management lifecycle within a complex environment
  • Expert understanding of Release Management best practices and confident to provide process guidance to project teams
  • Familiarity with Service Management, process ownership and governance
  • Understanding of ITIL framework, SDLC and Cloud Technology is advantageous
