Recruitment Partner (Tech &
Data focus - 2 year fixed term)

  • 2 year fixed-term opportunity for an experienced in-house or agency recruiter
  • Support a significant program of work across Technology and Data
  • Sydney based role with hybrid working arrangements

The role

As a Recruitment Partner you will support the delivery of significant programs of work to enhance APRA's capabilities across technology and data, by implementing talent acquisition strategies to attract, source and recruit high calibre talent.

This will include managing the end-to-end recruitment experience across the relevant business areas (primarily focused on roles across Technology, Data, and Project business units), from role brief to offer stage. Key to success will be developing strong partnerships with hiring managers and business leaders to understand their needs, guide and advise, and proactively source quality talent across a variety of skill sets.

Your ideas will also help drive our employer brand and attraction strategy and you will have the opportunity take part in broader people program initiatives.

The team

The People Programs team sits within the People &
Culture team and is responsible for the development of initiatives and programs across the employee lifecycle, including attraction and recruitment, internal mobility, secondments, workforce planning and employee experience, along with the delivery of APRA's inclusion &
diversity strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end recruitment for roles spanning entry-level to senior leadership appointments
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders and People Partners to understand business needs and to ensure roles are appropriately defined
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract high calibre talent
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through proactive sourcing strategies
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate and take part in interview and selection steps
  • Advocate for the candidate experience by ensuring timely communication and feedback

About you

  • A senior in-house recruiter (financial or professional services experience highly regarded), or consultant with a track record of successful client partnerships in an agency environment
  • Substantial experience sourcing and recruiting roles across the technology and data domains
  • Adept in talent identification, sourcing and assessment techniques, with a passion for best practice
  • A natural relationship builder with a consultative engagement style and client-focused mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with candidates and stakeholders at all levels
