Teracloud PTY, doing business as 21CS, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RD Development Director to join our Perth Australia RD Lab. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for product development for several highly valued z/OS solutions, while driving business growth, and ensuring the success of our Australian based development. This position reports directly to the CEO based in the United States.


Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all aspects of our solutions development in Australia, including strategic planning, budgeting, and P&
L management.
- Understand and navigate the software development life cycle, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products and services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and government agencies.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and cross-functional cooperation.
- Oversee a large team of 50+ employees, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Implement effective succession planning strategies to identify and nurture talent within the organization.
- Collaborate with the global product management team to align product roadmaps and ensure successful product launches in the Australian market.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and drive innovation.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in a related field;
MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as a director, with a track record of successfully managing product development operations.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle and experience in delivering software products and services.
- Demonstrated experience in succession planning and talent management.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Worked for a US based employer.
- Familiarity with the Australian market and local business practices is highly desirable.
- Occasional travel domestically and internationally (less than 10%) .
- Ability to work and take some evening or early morning conference calls.
