Do you love application and platform security and uplifting programs and capabilities? Are you excited at the prospect of enabling thousands of Atlassian product and platform developers to improve the security of their applications and infrastructure and ultimately improve the security of millions of users that use Atlassian products? We're looking for a Principal Security Engineer to join our team who thrives on working with development teams to secure their products across the software development lifecycle.

A a Principal Product Security Engineer you will be the Technical SME, promote automation, review platform and service designs and architecture and drive our security teams to equip the engineering partner teams with the latest tools, techniques and methodologies to build secure products by default. You will be responsible for partnering with our security teams and leadership groups across Atlassian's vast footprint to uplift our security programs.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

Demonstrated expertise and experience working in security-focused roles

In-depth experience with application security, especially web applications

Significant experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure

Experience leading large-scale projects from start to finish and mentoring other security practitioners

Adept experience providing SME knowledge and guidance to stakeholders and engineering functions

It's great, but not required if you have:

CVE's to your name

Contributions to open-source security software

Delivered industry presentations

Comfortable operating in and reviewing modern cloud technologies from providers such as AWS, Azure and GCP
