About the role

Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will provide legal advice on a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues affecting Cenitex. Key responsibilities will include providing authoritative legal advice on Cenitex's IT procurements, including drafting and negotiating contract documentation, advising on legislative obligations and advising on Customer MOUs and proposals.

Day to day you'll be expected to:

  • Provide authoritative legal advice relating to ICT contracts on behalf of Cenitex procurement team and manage and lead the legal component of procurements where required, including for complex IT procurements
  • Engage with stakeholders to achieve their goals from a legal perspective and proactively identify areas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Advise on all legal aspects relating to the procurement of new services and technologies within Cenitex including public and private cloud.
  • Provide strategic, risk-based legal advice to the executive and senior Cenitex staff and other areas of the Cenitex on commercial contracting matters.

To be a success in this role youwillhave:

  • Significant experience providing technically excellent and strategically-focused legal advice.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under tight timelines will be critical in delivering customer-focused outcomes for our stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence outcomes at all levels of an organisation and provide highly complex and sensitive legal advice.
