About the opportunity

You'll offer comprehensive legal guidance for SRLA project teams, including advising on project development, implementation, and compliance with legislation. Collaborating closely with various divisions and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes within budget and timelines.

• Eligibility for legal practice admission in Victoria or a similar Australian jurisdiction, with a current or eligible application for a practicing certificate.
• Demonstrated experience providing authoritative legal advice, particularly in government, major projects, or land, planning, and environment contexts, including reviewing and drafting complex project documentation.
• Strong comprehension and written communication skills, capable of delivering information clearly and concisely to senior organisational members and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and collegiality.
• Capacity to work under pressure, managing competing priorities and incomplete information with minimal supervision, and consistently delivering results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of leading and guiding both internal and external stakeholders, influencing negotiations, and achieving positive outcomes.
• Experience in managing strategic legal matters of significant scale and complexity, showcasing well-developed judgment, professional ethics, and integrity.
