We are seeking an AO7 Principal Finance Officer who will support the financial and budgetary management process to Information Services.
This role includes the provision of budget development, monitoring and reporting services, contribution to the development of financial management improvement strategies, financial modelling, cost benefit analysis and support of strategic projects.

The Principal Finance Officer's key responsibilities are:

- Assist the manager in the annual budget build process for both operating and capital for Information Services and liaise with key stakeholders for ongoing review of budget allocation and preparation of budget adjustments.
- Assisting in the preparation of strategic and mid-year review ICT related submissions, and provide input into the Service Delivery Statement and other State budget papers, Estimates Committee processes, Questions on Notice and other briefings relevant to the ICT Program.
- Provide monthly, quarterly and end of financial year reporting analysis and variance reporting for all IS business units to assist in decision making by senior management.
- Oversee the financial operational functions for Information Services, including co-ordinating and lead the monthly and end of financial year accruals process for Information Services units;
coordinating accounts payable and receivable processes;
provision of financial information to the ICT Procurement team as required to support ICT procurement activities;
reporting on assets/assets under construction pertaining to ICT capital investments.
- Contribute to reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence on a range of financial management and budgeting issues relating to Information Services activities.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders that are based on open communications.
- Provide expertise in analysis and reporting activities that will support business improvements and efficiencies in the tools and processes used in Information Services.
