About the Role:
We are seeking a Plant Performance Engineer to support our renewable energy assets. This role will primarily focus on fostering a high-performance culture through effective collaboration while also establishing and maintaining strong working relationships across all organizational levels. Additionally, it involves providing operational support to Plant Performance and Asset Managers, including performance reporting, contract management, and technical analysis to optimise plant performance. Furthermore, the role requires a commitment to health and safety compliance, acting as a role model for risk avoidance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the renewable energy operations.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate collaboration skills and self-awareness to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across the organization.
  • Assist Plant Performance Manager and Asset Managers with deliverables, including performance reporting and SCADA analysis.
  • Provide oversight for staff and subcontractors performing Operation &
    Maintenance.
  • Support grid contracts management and communication with Owners and Off-takers.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address concerns and promote sustainable operation.

Skills &
Experience

  • Renewable energy plant and operations knowledge.
  • Documentation control and Health and Safety management understanding.
  • Familiarity with National Electricity Market operations.
  • Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in renewable energy operations preferred, with consideration for exceptional new graduates.
  • Ideally experienced in large renewable energy projects, including contract management and tender processes.
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python or willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and SCADA systems.
  • Graduate-level qualification in Engineering, science, or related fields.
