The Placement Director role involves establishing and maintaining close relationships with Steadfast Network brokers, to understand their complex risk placement needs. Candidates must have a strong understanding of available market capacity and how to structure insurance placements i.E. primary, excess, co-insurance lines or 100% placements as appropriate across all insurance products. Understanding pricing and rating in line with specific risks, is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the team of wholesale placing brokers.
  • Responsible for renewing, generating, and placing new business from the Steadfast Network Brokers
  • Responsible for placement of all types of insurance risks (including Property, Liability, PI, D&
    O, and other miscellaneous classes) into the various insurance markets SP use including Local, Singapore and London.
  • Expected to be available to travel interstate and or to NZ, Singapore or London as required.
  • Expected to attend market seminars and functions and build and develop relationships with Insurers.
  • Required to speak to Steadfast Brokers and Insurers about the risks they are placing, update them regularly and provide written communication regarding the risk placement.
  • Maintain placement records.
  • Attend team meetings, Steadfast Convention &
    Expo's.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years insurance placement/corporate broking.
  • Tier 1 Compliant
  • Must have sound understanding of multi classes of insurance including Property and Liability and Financial Lines
  • Must have a sound understanding of the local and international insurance market.
  • Must have strong understanding of various placement structures for complex and high value risks.
  • Must have strong local insurance relationships with a willingness to continue development of same
  • Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organised and attention to detail
  • Ability to be proactive in a team environment
